“It’s not like I sit at home twirling knives, but I’ve always been into handling weapons,” she told The Daily Mail. “As a kid I liked ninja warriors, not dolls. I have some kukris. They are one-handed knives and a bit like machetes, very vicious instruments with a curved blade. They are used for hacking and I love them because they are so versatile. You can really get into the meat of an animal, slice cucumbers and kill zombies – all in one day.”

This could it be the reason she sign on to do the thriller A Perfect Getaway. The movie is based around two pairs of lovers on a Hawaiian vacation who discover that psychopaths are stalking and murdering tourists on the islands and according to Jovovich, she did a lot of the stunts herself.

“I have a vicious cat fight [in A Perfect Getaway] with a girl who is trying to kill me. We have knives and we’re hitting and punching each other on the edge of a cliff , rolling around in the dust. Sexy girls in shorts – it’s a nice, crazy fight scene.”

Yes, you’ve guessed the twist about Zane and Mila, right?

Reviewed: The Female Fights in ?G.I. Joe? and ?Perfect Getaway?

First of all - ?G.I. Joe? and ?Perfect Getaway? are better films than I expected, and are worth Summer Movie Money.

?G.I. Joe? is surprisingly entertaining and the cast is likable and the movie only runs out of gas in the last quarter with a nicely mounted but somewhat tedious underwater invasion of the bad guys undersea lair. This is a movie about toys and toy people, it is PG 13.

The bad guys invaded the good guys lair under the sands of Saudi Arabia early in the film and THAT fight scene was well worth applauding, crisp, fast paced and always coherent.

HERE is where the rubber-suit catfight of Scarlet and the Baroness takes place and it is a solid ?B?, fully as physical and lethal in intent as the Male fights. But it is largely kickboxing and very, ah, well, choreographed. But it is like ALL the fights, as I said, serious and obviously a death fight in intent. Yet it is intercut to pices - equality of treatment to the guys in an action film.

?Perfect Getaway? is the surprise - it is a well crafted thriller with a twist that shocks even if suspected and a layer of acting and script deeper than you would expect. It is R, and deserves the rating.

You actually get a taste of what made the bad guys so fucking apeshit as to murder people.

AND the film setting is so beautiful it could have been IMAX.

Now the female fight here is a break out. [b]the fight lasts 3 minutes and is as close as you can get to documentary footage of two desperate women actually fighting to the the death - resorting to weapons when they can hang onto them. The injuries are bettor than CSI realistic.

is a solid ?A-?. It is a little short, the killings that take place take place later, and it is cut a little fast for my liking, but this LOOKS like 2 young motivated women trying to kill each other.

In closing, the film does not end as a cliche. This seems like a movie girls will enjoy, for both ?relationship stuff? and squeal inducing violence as well - girls like it when girls fight - they can identify!
